Perhaps because of the many schools and universities around the city, the museums and libraries in the area are top-notch. There are actually 25 such locations all over the area, but the crown jewel of the entire library system sits downtown. The downtown library was first built in 1917 but was expanded in 2007. That expansion allowed the building to triple in size.
